Main Duties:


To support the delivery of project and company goals, ensure work is completed on time. 
To ensure that all work scope is completed in a safe manner, ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric, or the environment. 
Read, understand and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices and procedures, always ensuring that the plating/structural, including welding/tacking, work scope is completed to a high standard. 
Complete all assigned work scope in accordance with any applicable work pack instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches 
Ensure and comply with all Risk Assessments/ Method Statements and Permit to work to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner 
Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings 
Measure/ Mark plate, beams, sections for cutting  
Flame cut steel plate/ beams and sections  
Dress cut edges and prep cut items for welding 
Assemble components to required tolerances  
Tack weld components into positions 
Weld components that the fabricator is qualified to weld, that will meet NDT requirements. 
General set-up and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring appropriate use and storage


Requirements:


Level 3 NVQ in fabrication & welding, or equivalent qualification 
Experience in working on site, ideally within construction
5 GCSEs or equivalent in any subject area, including English and Maths. 
3 years' experience in admin/project support  
Computer literate with proficiency in the MS suite, particularly word and excel  
Excellent organisational skills  
Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a wide range of stakeholders  
Flexibility and a proactive nature, seeking the solution before the problem arises   
The ability to build relationships and support the wider mission
