Plant, Tool and Equipment (PTE) Technician (Mechanical Bias)

Overview of Role

Working for the MEH JV Plant Department focusing on service, inspection, repair and installation and testing of mechanical equipment.

Must have good knowledge of PUWER 98 and LOLER 98 Regulations with the ability to carry out good levels of fault-finding diagnostics.

Knowledge of plant and equipment with a good understanding of the following areas:

  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Generators
  • Compressors
  • Mobile plant
  • Other mechanical plant

Together with multiple types of mechanical consumables and other mechanical items and including the completion of maintenance schedules and inspection and test certificates for all items managed by the MEH JV Plant Department.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Mechanical PTE Tech Minimum Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plant or Machinery Maintenance

Or

  • NOCN Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance (Construction)
  • Must hold full UK driving licence as some site driving may be required.

 

Desirable qualifications and experience but not essential

  • Preferred knowledge of lifting equipment trained to a minimum of LEEA Level 2.
  • Servicing and inspection of lifting equipment.
