Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator

Opportunity for a Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator working with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project,
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that Company’s and Contractor’s PTW System is followed strictly.
- Ensure that job tasks fall under PTW System are communicated with project execution team.
- Check the permits, attachments and addresses it to the relevant department for their control when required prior to submission to Company / Contractor.
- Conducts PTW audits and reports any deficiencies to Project HSE Manager.
- Register all permits to PTW log and follow up the latest status of permits.
- Communicate the PTW log to project departments
- Exercise duties with due diligence.
- Assist in preparing a Permit to Work.
- Ensure that the work site copy of any expired Permit is put in the Permit File.
- Verify, regularly during the shift, the status of any outstanding permits where the work has not yet been completed.
- Shall ensure that a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all his acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledges that due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
- Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in his sole and absolute discretion, is necessary in order for the company to comply with his obligations under the nuclear site license.
- Be the main contact between the Client and Company regarding PTW matters
- Safe use, protection, storage and care of general maintenance PPE, hand and power tools, work equipment assigned to you to perform your activities
You must:
- Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do);
- Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare;
- Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.
General Conditions
- Speak and write English fluently.
- Experience in Permit department
- Have minimum 5 years of large scale projects experience.
- Have NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate.
- Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)
- Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport
