Location: Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset 

 

Contract Type: Permanent  

 

Salary: Starting from £ 36,000 per annum (depending on experience)

 

Working Hours: 39 hours per week 

 

Shift Pattern: 9 days fortnight (Monday to Friday for week 1 and Monday to Thursday for week 2) - Monday to Friday shift pattern is also available.

 

Please note: There is limited opportunity for remote working due to the nature of the role.  

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Permit Coordinator Hinkley Point C. 

 


As a Permit Coordinator you will be coordinating, and facilitating the work authorisation and permit process, tracking relevant documentation, and working with the project teams and permit office to ensure timely applications and renewals.  

You will be working closely with the document control and quality team and will involve in supporting ddocument control and quality processes, activities, and systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Act as the central coordinator for work authorisation and permit applications 
  • Maintain and update a permit and work authorisation tracker 
  • Liaise with Wilson James project teams to collate required documentation and ensure that application and renewal deadlines are met 
  • Liaise with the HPC Permit Office, submit documentation and information in line with the HPC standards and specifications 
  • Work with all stakeholders including NNB staff to mitigate any issues arising in the process relating to documentation and information 
  • Generate permit and work authorisation related reports e.g. Status reports 
  • Support Document Control and Quality activities, systems and trackers 

 

 

What do we need from you: 

 

Skills, Qualification, and Experience 

 

Essential  

 

  • CITB HS&E Operative Test (Must be obtained before the start date) 
  • Proven administration experience within the construction or similar industries.  
  • You must successfully complete the Client's Permit Acceptors course, which will be provided as part of your role 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills 
  • Intermediate/Advanced IT Skills – Word & Excel especially 
  • Strong organisational skills with accompanying attention to detail 
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external staff at all levels 

 

Desirable  

 

  • Document control experience 
  • Experience of document and quality processes 

 

 

Site Specific Information: 

 

  • You must be able to provide a 3-year work history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.  
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass. 
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
