Opportunity for a Permit Control Assistant working with Dalkia on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.
All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. A committed strong work ethic is essential at all levels.


All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.
Working collaboratively with the Project Permit Controller, this role is to provide daily support for the work authorisations and permit coordination/management for Dalkia- New Nuclear.
 

 

Administrative Support:

 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Project Permit controller
  • Manage the +department’s calendar and schedule meetings and prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and documents.


Record Keeping:

 

  • Update and manage digital and physical filing systems and track and archive compliance documentation and certificates.
  • Keeping records, creating reports, using metadata 


Role Specific: 

 

  • Assistance in ensuring that company specific work authorisations and associated Permits are either in date or correctly planned for.
  • Assistance in ensuring accountable people for certain actions are on track for planned work, inside and outside of Dalkia.
  • Assistance in ensuring that trackers and spreadsheets are up to date to keep various team members in Dalkia up to date with current and planned works.
  • Assistance in maintenance and creation of various trackers and spreadsheets to monitor works, WAFs and Permits.
  • Be involved in coordination of works, via liaising with contractor/client, planning meetings and briefs.
  • Work closely with superintendents, construction manager, project managers and other parts of Dalkia to ensure smooth operations of required work.
  • Assist the wider team in keeping Dalkia compliant to site standards 
  • Keep track of RAMS and their status within Dalkia
  • Be a point of contact/guidance for Dalkia PMs, Superintendents and others for P2W (Permit to Work software used at HPC)
  • Assist in supporting site audits to ensure that Dalkia are keeping compliant with site standards/requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an Permit or related field.
  • Experience with data entry and record-keeping.
  • Previous experience in supporting regulatory compliance activities (desirable)


Skills:

 

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with HSE software and databases (desirable)
