Hinkley Point C- Site Based
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact? We are searching for a talented individual to join our operations management team. As a key player, you'll be responsible for the tactical management of Nuclear New Build Generation Company's water management infrastructure, which could include ground water control, surface water control, water treatment processes and consented discharges.
Location: Hinkley Point C - Site based
Salary: £65,000- £75,000 plus Car Allowance
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 Hours a week
My Responsibilities...
Day to day, you will lead the operational teams responsible for your specific deliverables. You will be responsible for contractual budgets, processes, and resources to maximise your team's efficiency and cost-effectiveness for the client. You will be expected to implement business plan objectives to move the business forward and to devise and implement strategies to maximise operational productivity while maintaining the high-quality work we are known for.
As a key member of our management team, you will introduce innovation and new technology and be comfortable dealing with commercial and compliance issues. The service needs to uphold our stringent environmental permit compliance, zero serious pollution incidents, within contractual budgetary controls and with adherence to set KPIs.
You will be always promoting and embodying our company values and culture.
With a variety of stakeholders to manager, your communication will be key to ensure a successful delivery. You will act as a subject matter expert, provide technical advice and recommendations as well as an escalation point to unlock challenges. You will need to think proactively and always be considering the next steps as system develop.
You will need to build and maintain successful working relationships with Client representatives and other key contractors and be adept at resolving problems quickly and effectively. At times it is likely you will take the senior role in managing emergencies and local incidents to minimise environmental impact and cost and risk to the client.
What are the requirements?
To be successful, you'll need:
• Broad operational or engineering experience in the water industry, pump solutions or water treatment environments.
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills, to lead, engage and motivate your team to perform at their best in a challenging environment.
• Ideally, a minimum of an HNC in an engineering or scientific discipline.
• Up to date Health and Safety training. IOSHH, SMSTS, CSCS and Confined Spaces training would all be beneficial.
• The role may include working at other sites or locations so you will need a full driving licence.
• You may be required to participate in and take part in a routine management standby function.
