Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.

The Onboarding and Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end onboarding and training process for employees and staff transfers working on the project, ensuring all individuals meet security, compliance, competence, and client requirements prior to commencing work.
 

Working closely with the Training and Skills Department, HR, and onboarding teams, the role ensures that training requirements are planned, communicated, delivered, and accurately recorded to support safe and compliant project delivery. The post holder will maintain & manage training records and certifications, support vetting processes, and ensure the project always remains audit ready.


Key responsibilities & Deliverables:     


•    Coordinate and support the organisation of internal and external training requirements in line with company and client standards.
•    Provide accurate joining instructions to candidates attending training programmes and ensure appropriate resources are available.
•    Ensure all training bookings, communications, and attendance are managed efficiently and in a timely manner.
•    Upload and maintain training certificates and records against individual delegate profiles.
•    Manage the end-to-end BPSS vetting process, including collecting, verifying, submitting, and tracking documentation.
•    Liaise with employees, HR, and external agencies to ensure timely completion of vetting and onboarding activities.
•    Maintain accurate records and track progress to ensure compliance with nuclear site regulations.
•    Ensure all personal and sensitive data is handled in accordance with GDPR and security requirements.
•    Support internal and external training and compliance audits, ensuring documentation is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
•    Work collaboratively with onboarding teams to support competence, qualification, and compliance requirements across the project.


Accountabilities:     


•    Contribute to ensuring all personnel working for Dalkia are suitably skilled, trained, and qualified for their roles.
•    Administer training and development requirements and coordinate the onboarding and enrolment of candidates.
•    Ensure training requirements are supported and coordinated effectively.
•    Ensure clear and timely communication with candidates enrolled onto training programmes.
•    Maintain accurate training records, reports, and compliance documentation.


Essential Qualifications     


•    Experience working on large, complex, or highly regulated projects
•    Previous experience coordinating high volumes of training
•    Competent user of Microsoft Office applications with the ability to adapt to new systems
•    Proven ability to build effective working relationships within large organisations
•    CCNSG or HSE Operative Test


Desirable qualifications and Experience:     


•    Business administration qualification or equivalent level of education
•    Experience within the nuclear sector
•    Understanding of Nuclear Baseline requirements
•    Familiarity with Hinkley Point C systems and platforms (e.g. WIMS, MyLearning Hub)
