On-site Material Control Manager

Opportunity for a On-site Material Control Manager working with Wilson James on the Hinkley Point C Project,
As an On-site Material Control Manager, you will be reporting to the Material Lead and working in the construction environment leading a team of material controllers to manage the control of permanent material.
You will be required to provide detailed forecasts and data related to permanent material movement and provide a process driven permanent material call of including delivery and return of material.
A typical day as an Onsite Material Control Manager:
- Putting to work and accounting for the material control team on a daily basis.
- Ensuring the team receive the specific safety inductions relating to works in the construction areas.
- Ensure the material control team get resources and training suitable to their role.
- Create and attend meetings involving procurement / expediting and warehouse inventory for Permanent Material.
- Accumulate data from multiple sources to support forecasting and reporting of installation material
- Create detailed visual aids and tables to support forecasted material data
- Support specific construction teams in identifying short- and long-term material requirements.
- Using the preferred Material Management system manage the team and oversee detailed construction material call off requests to facilitate work packs to be produced.
- Create and oversee material consignments not being used that can be returned to storage.
- Manage cross functional data input of asset management systems.
- Build relationships between key stakeholders and co-ordination teams.
Essential Qualification:
- CITB MAPS H&S test (must be obtained before start date).
- SMSTS (or working towards).
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
- CSCS card of equivalent
- Safety course - IOSH or similar
- Post graduate degree or similar.
Experience :
- Demonstrate Knowledge of Construction M&E disciplines and related material.
- Experience of construction material and handling or warehouse asset management
- Excellent IT, Written, Verbal & Numeracy Skills
- Excellent in the use of MS Excel and Power Point
- Able to prioritise and meet set deadlines
- Good team skills and collaborative qualities
- Self-motivated with the ability to research and produce information
- Demonstrate the ability to interact comfortably with blue- and white-collar workforce.
- Demonstrate that you are a strong communicator with a proven managerial background
- Experience of Nuclear or Power Station Construction specifically in M&E disciplines.
- Material Controller or Warehouse Management experience
- Experience with Asset Management Tracking / Personal Digital Assistant software
