Role Characteristics:    


Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.
All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. A committed strong work ethic is essential at all levels.


All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.


There are opportunities to put together strategic people plans within the nuclear sector, work on wider company people projects, deliver an excellent first class service to employees and ensure the administration and processes that engulf working life are implemented effectively and fairly.


Accountabilities:    


Nuclear Safety Culture and Regulatory Interface for the Dalkia New Nuclear team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a healthy Nuclear Safety Culture across Dalkia Nuclear and our supply chain.  You will act as the conduit between Dalkia, the client (NNB GENCO) and regulators such the  ONR ensuring compliance.


Key Deliverables:    


•    Develop and implement Dalkia’s Nuclear Safety Culture strategy
•    Promote Nuclear Safety Culture throughout Dalkia and the Supply Chain
•    Support Dalkia leadership teams’ demonstrable delivery of an effective and visible Nuclear Safety Culture
•    Lead Dalkia nuclear safety culture communities of best practice
•    Endorse a a culture of learning, and having a questioning attitude
•    Liaise with the supply chain and delivery teams to ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is embedded within the supply chain
•     Support regulatory interventions and demonstrate Dalkia’s commitment to nuclear safety and learning
•    Promote a culture of learning latent error prevention, human performance factors and leadership effectiveness 


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 


•    Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, quality or related discipline
•    Strong understanding of Nuclear Safety Principles
•    Ability to analyse culture and performance data and convert data to learning and improvement
•    Experience engaging with nuclear regulator and notified bodies
•    BPSS security clearance 


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    


•    Prior experience of working on Nuclear New Build Projects
•    Knowledge of EPR or PWR technologies
•    Experience supporting newly evolved organisation
