Job Overview
The role of non-working supervisor is required to assist with Linxon's extensive scope on HPC. This person should be electrically biased and have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations. We are looking for a positive person who will assist if driving high standards in safety and assist in effective delivery of our scope.
Objectives of the role
This role requires you to manage safety, by overseeing safety practices to ensure compliance with Linxon and site HSE standards. Managing contractor teams, ensuring clear communication, and coordinating activities across different teams. Completing daily site records and ensuring accurate reporting of all activities. Promoting a professional work environment and leading teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Ensuring that all tasks are executed safely and correctly and overseeing site activities to identify and mitigate risks.
Preferred Qualifications
· SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
· Electrical certification. Can achieve status of Electrically Authorized Person.
· CCNSG or HS&E or IOSH
Desirable Experience in or Qualifications / Certificates
· Incident Controller
· TMIC
· Experience and working knowledge at HPC
Experience and competencies
General:
· Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with diverse workers across different teams, subcontractors, clients and management
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Must be fluent in English both verbal and written is essential
· High Work Standards: qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation
· Knowledge of electrical installations
Experience:
· Significant experience as a Site Supervisor, particularly within the construction industry
· Experience of promoting a proactive safety culture, compliance, safety audits, inspections, enforcing site rules and procedures, escalating when necessary
· Experience of working on nuclear licensed sites EDF, Sellafield, NRS, Dounreay would be a distinct advantage
