New Start Training Coordinator

Role Purpose:     


To coordinate the training activity required for all new starters joining the MEH Alliance at Hinkley Point C.  This will include making sure all mandatory and compliance based requirements are met in line with expectations of both blue and white collar roles.


Accountabilities:    


•    The coordination of training for all new starts to the MEH Alliance - working closely with other L&D Coordinators as required
•    The design and development of bespoke, role specific induction training programmes for all new white and blue collar workers

•    Delivery of new start training activity, including inductions and behavioural safety training
•    Ensuring all internal and external training is planned and organised
•    Providing clear information, guidance and support on new start programmes as requested

•    Track and record new starter training completion information, with support of the wider L&D team
•    Support the coordination of any individual safety critical medical appointments
•    Effectively working with the on-boarding team to provide new starts timely information on induction schedules

•    Creation of training plans to bridge the gap between the role requirements and the individual’s competence assessment 
•    Establish effective relationships with training providers
•    Liaise with MEH JV partner organisations to ensure training records are accurately shared

•    Attendance and contribution to relevant HPC training working groups 
•    Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately
•    Assist with development and implementation of eLearning courses

•    Providing metrics and reporting to stakeholders as required
•    Additional appropriate ad hoc duties as agreed with line manager


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:    


•    Competency Based interview

•    NVQ Level 3 or relevant experience
•    CCNSG/HSE Operatives


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    


•    A recognised teaching qualification or previous experience of delivering training
•    Previous experience of coordinating workplace training

•    Competent in using Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word with an aptitude to work with other platforms including CMS
•    Experience of working in the Engineering Construction industry would be desirable
•    skilled at developing strong relationships within large organisations
