Mechanical QC Inspector (Level 4) (QAS40026)
The MEH Alliance - Altrad Babcock 
Hinkley Point

 

 

Accountabilities:    
Responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards and procedures all installation, calibration and testing processes of electrical and instrumentation scope. Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists in analysing quality concerns. Monitor and assist construction to achieve quality standards.


Key Deliverables:    
1.    Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan). 
2.    Liaise with client’s representative for conducting of day to day inspection during the construction activities.
3.    Ensure installation of equipment is in compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements with respect to; material, alignment, etc.
4.    Assist QC Manager and Area Leads in executing their responsibilities.
5.    Maintaining LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
6.    Updating SONIM register as required.
7.    Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(in line with MEH Onboarding matrix)

1.    Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).  
2.    Minimum 5years in progressively responsible inspection positions.
3.    Demonstratable experience on all types of rotating (including alignment and seals) and static equipment.


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    
1.    Major Project Experience,  
2.    Nuclear Experience beneficial 
3.    Working in Alliance agreement projects
