Ledwood currently recruiting for  Mechanical Fitters with Rotating Equipment experience.


These positions form part of our work within the Arabelle steam turbine buildings, where we are installing equipment ranging from small 2Te pumps to a 2,440Te condenser. All applicants must meet strict competency, safety, and security requirements.


We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with a strong background in rotating equipment installation and alignment. The work will take place inside the Turbine Hall, supporting the installation of major mechanical systems.


Key Experience Required


Applicants must have proven experience in:


Installation and alignment of single- and multi-train rotating equipment
Accurate use of laser alignment equipment


Role Responsibilities


You will form part of our pump installation team with duties including:


Surveying and marking out foundations
Installing embedded plates / sole plates
Levelling equipment and base plates
Performing bolt torquing and tensioning
Providing full mechanical installation support around rotating plant and associated equipment


Requirements:


Valid CCNSG Safety Passport is mandatory
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship qualification required


All personnel will also complete an onsite Medical for Safety critical works, working at height and confined spaces. Additional training for working at height / confined spaces will also be provided.
