Erection Supervisor


Location: Site Based - Somerset
Reports to: CME / Discipline Leads


Role Purpose


Responsible for supervising subcontractor and self-performance teams, ensuring erection works are delivered safely, on time, and to Arabelle Solutions' quality standards. Oversees discipline erection strategy, testing, documentation, and compliance with EHS directives.


Key Responsibilities


Supervision: Direct and monitor subcontractor and self-performance personnel; validate material requests; ensure timely completion of works and readiness for commissioning.
Execution: Implement erection strategy; resolve technical issues with engineering; manage non-conformances and discrepancies.
Testing & Inspections: Organise and participate in inspections, conformity tests, and walkdowns; verify correct use of materials.
Punch-List Management: Identify, track, and clear outstanding items promptly.
Documentation: Ensure accurate SWCF preparation, as-built records, and progressive quality documentation.
Quality & EHS: Enforce Arabelle Solutions' EHS and Quality policies; conduct toolbox talks; coordinate with Quality Department; support continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting & REX: Provide progress, performance, and EHS reports; capture lessons learned and site deviations.


Key Performance Indicators


Works completed on schedule and to QA/QC standards.
SWCF and quality records compiled progressively.
EHS targets achieved.

Requirements:


SMSTS - Site Management Safety Training Scheme
CSCS Black Card (Manager / Professional)
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent HSE qualification
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
10-15 years experience within mechanical construction or installation.
Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership or management role on large construction sites.
Experience delivering mechanical packages on large industrial or infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to manage large site teams and subcontractors.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems installation including pipework, HVAC, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
Experience working within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, power generation, oil & gas, or heavy infrastructure is highly desirable.
