Job Responsibilities
• Carry a positive HS&E outlook, while representing and promoting a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the project.
• Lead and Supervise: Manage and support the daily activities of the material coordination team, providing training, direction, and performance feedback.
• Material Flow Management: Ensure accurate and timely coordination of incoming and outgoing materials across departments.
• In conjunction with the organisation's other material coordination teams, plan and coordinate the movement of material to allow consolidation (of Material Requests) ahead of delivery to site.
• Inventory Accuracy: Work closely with inventory control and warehouse teams to maintain correct stock levels and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee the digital and data and monitoring of performance of material to site deliveries weekly and monthly.
• Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve material shortages, delays, or logistical issues to avoid production disruptions.
• Planning & Scheduling: Collaborate with production planners and procurement to align material availability with project schedules.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records and generate regular reports on material movement, team performance, and KPIs.
• Assisting the Materials Management team, with day-to-day management of off-site materials teams.
• Knowledge of Construction M&E disciplines and related material: A good understanding of the various material disciplines within the (nuclear) construction industry, standards and expected material handling and storage requirements.
• Experience of construction procurement or warehouse asset / inventory management: Proven track record of material /asset management and general understanding of a quality driven process to ensure lifetime quality records are recorded and maintained throughout out the 'end to end' process.
• Key Performance Indicator Input and capturing. Record and input data related to weekly and Monthly KPIs.
• Detailed Knowledge and Understanding of warehouse and inventory management.
• Health and Safety: Reporting on and providing feedback on the organization's efforts to promote environmentally sustainable practices in relation to plant and equipment. This includes energy-saving initiatives, waste reduction measures, and environmental impact assessments.
• Coordination and Collaboration Recording: Providing feedback on, and document collaborative efforts with other departments, such as production, engineering, and logistics. Reporting on joint projects, improvements in coordination, and shared successes.
• Admin and Documentation Management: Ensuring all relevant documentation, records, and reports are organised and readily accessible for audits, inspections, or reference purposes.
Qualifications
· Relevant qualifications, Graduate level or a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
· Must have advanced skills and experience with MS Office and have sufficient Data management skills.
· Practical experience in warehouse, equipment and asset management is highly valued. Previous experience in warehouse operations and supply chain/material management/ procurement/quality management at large scale is essential.

· Industry-specific certifications can enhance your credibility and demonstrate your expertise. These certifications focus on asset management principles and practices
Experience
· 3 years' experience within warehousing operations, material, and equipment management role within a regulated industry (preferably nuclear or energy).
· Equipment and asset management, or maintenance management at large scale project (MEGA Project scale ideally) This includes hands-on experience with troubleshooting, scheduling, quality record oversight, team participation and overall equipment management.
· Experience with different types of equipment relevant to the disciplines to the MEH JV is preferable but not essential.
· Experience in inventory / procurement and fulfilment management is desired. This involves effectively managing equipment inventories, tracking performance, implementing fulfilment and stock allocation strategies, and making data-driven decisions for programme fulfilment requirements incl of route planning for delivery to FDP.
· Demonstrated experience in involvement and being a key participant of a team is very important. This includes providing guidance and support and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
· A strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and regulations is desired, as ensuring the well-being of employees and compliance with legislation and regulations is a top priority.
· Experience in leading and promoting safety protocols and culture of safety is highly beneficial.
