This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms. 

 

The role
As a Material Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic environment, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to a project of national importance.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for managing inventory and coordinating material deliveries to support construction and logistics teams. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and success of operations at Hinkley Point, one of the most ambitious energy projects in the UK.  

 

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking stock movements
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Developing material specification documents and managing PTEC requests
  • Organising storage areas and implementing efficient labelling systems
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth material flow and delivery

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.

 

Essential experience of the Material Coordinator

  • Proven experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or supply chain roles 
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software 
  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and supply chain processes 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills 
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across teams and suppliers

 

Qualifications for the Material Coordinator

  • Qualification in business, procurement, or a relevant construction discipline - Desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely - Desirable 
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport - Desirable

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a valid UK passport holder, with the ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Further details are available at United Kingdom Security Vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
