MEH People Process Improvement Lead

Reports to: MEH People Programme Director (Client)
Job Purpose:
The MEH People Process Improvement Lead will be responsible for reviewing, streamlining, and standardising recruitment and people processes across the MEH Alliance and its partner organisations.
This role will ensure that recruitment aligns with project needs, is efficient, transparent and integrates effectively with workforce planning, succession planning, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
Review and refine MEH Resourcing Process
• Evaluate the MEH recruitment and approval process and refine it based on findings
• Ensure the process aligns with workforce planning, Task Order requirements, and budgetary controls.
• Implement a clear approval workflow to ensure that decisions on roles and candidates are made swiftly.
Review and Standardise Interface with Partner Recruitment Processes
• Assess how each partner organisation recruits for MEH roles – internal talent must be a priority.
• Identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and areas where processes could be streamlined or standardised.
• Ensure MEH hiring priorities such as internal hires first, clear approvals for external hiring, are embedded in all partner recruitment processes.
Improve Recruitment and People Dashboards and Reporting
• Develop and/or improve existing real time recruitment dashboards to track role approvals, candidate selection, and hiring progress.
• Provide clear visibility of vacancies, internal vs. external hires, pending approvals and decision timelines
• Improve data accuracy and reporting mechanisms to support faster decision making.
Strengthen Links to Succession Planning
• Ensure recruitment data is linked to workforce planning and succession planning across the partner organisations.
• Work with HR teams to ensure project roles feed into long-term career development within partner companies.
• Identify opportunities to develop internal talent pipelines
Technology and Process Efficiencies
• Explore any opportunities to introduce common recruitment platforms or automation tools for efficiency
• Work with IT teams and/or HRIS teams to improve process automation and data integration
• Ensure compliance with data sharing agreements and alignment with partner HR systems
Key Deliverables:
• Fully implemented MEH recruitment approval process, ensuring roles and candidate approvals are transparent and efficient.
• Reviewed and documented recruitment processes across all partners, with recommendations for standardisation.
• Clear dashboards and reporting tools to track recruitment activity, decision points, and hiring progress.
• Improved alignment between MEH recruitment and partner succession planning ensuring better internal mobility.
• Process efficiencies and automation opportunities identified and implemented where possible
Experience:
Essential:
• Strong experience in recruitment process optimisation workforce planning, or HR transformation.
• Knowledge of large-scale, multi-partner recruitment processes, ideally in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with recruitment reporting, dashboards, and HR data analysis
• Ability to simplify complex approval processes and implement efficient, structure workflows.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across multiple partner organisation.
• Experience in HR technology, automation, and recruitment system integration.
Desirable:
• Familiarity with complex, unincorporated JV recruitment models, and workforce agreements in major projects.
• Experience in change management and implementing new HR processes at scale
