As a Logistics Supervisor (Chargehand) your primary role will be to supervise plant movements into designated areas. You will oversee general operatives, ensuring they work safely in accordance with RAMS, DABS, and HPC processes.

 

You will carry out Daily Activity Briefings and set the team to work you will be responsible for delivering familiarisation, competency training, and toolbox talks and you will keep records for audit purposes.  

 

You will ensure that all areas of work are set up correctly, and have the relevant equipment, documentation and safe walkways. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with the blue- and white-collar workforce. You will be part of a great team, who are supportive and friendly.

 

 

Please note this job opening is for varied working days, working 4 12-hour shifts followed by 4 days off. The next week, working 5 12-hour shifts, followed by 5 days off. Working from 0600 - 1800 hours.

  • £23.28 per hour
  • Average of 42 hours per week working on a rotation of 4 12-hour shifts followed by 4 days off. The next week, working 5 12-hour shifts, followed by 5 days off.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous Supervisory Experience
  • SSSTS
  • CITB Supervisory H&S test (must be completed before start date)
  • Good IT skills

 

 

Site Specific Information 

  • You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
