Logistics Chargehand Plant Operations – Nightshift
 

Job Description:

 

Working supervisor of plant activities relating to delivery of permanent materials site wide.
 

Hourly Rate: Basic = £27.17 + 22.5% nightshift uplift, OTA = £38.04, OTB = £48.91
Shift Pattern/Hours: 11 nights on, 3 nights off. Working 12.5hrs (17:30 – 06:00)
 

Essential Quals;
 
 
•    At least 1 of the following; 
o    CPCS Trained Operator (Red Card) or NPORS Telehandler
o    CPCS Trained Operator (Red Card) or NPORS Counterbalance Forklift
o    CPCS Trained Operator (Red Card) or NPORS Agricultural Tractor
o    CPCS Trained Operator (Red Card) or NPORS Traffic Marshall
•    CCNSG Safety Passport
•    1 of the following;
o    SSSTS
o    LATS
o    IOSH Managing Safely
•    Full UK Driving License – No more than 9 points
•    Good spoken and written English language skills
 

Additional Desirable Quals;
 

•    More than 1 of the following; 
o    CPCS Competent Operator (Blue Card) or NPORS Telehandler
o    CPCS Competent Operator (Blue Card) or NPORS Counterbalance Forklift
o    CPCS Competent Operator (Blue Card) or NPORS Agricultural Tractor
o    CPCS Competent Operator (Blue Card) or NPORS Traffic Marshall
•    Full Clean UK Driving License
•    First Aid @ Work
•    Trauma Medic Immediate Care - TMIC
•    Incident Controller – IC
 

Essential Knowledge/Experience/Skills;
 

•    Basic knowledge & experience in the use of the plant equipment types list in essential quals.
•    Demonstrate the ability to supervise a team consisting of plant operators.
•    Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret data given by the client that aids in the delivery of permanent materials (maps, delivery forms, etc).
•    Basic knowledge of industry standards and best practices relating to the use of plant equipment types list in essential quals and managing safe working zones around moving plant equipment.
•    Willing to undertake training courses as required to assist in delivering a high quality of service to the client.
 

Additional Desirable Knowledge/Experience/Skills;
 

•    Comprehensive knowledge & experience in the use of the plant equipment types list in essential quals.
•    Proven experience with more than 1 type of plant equipment list in essential quals.
•    Proven background supervising a team consisting of plant operators.
•    Basic knowledge of Magenta Routes and VCAP’s.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of industry and HPC standards and best practices relating to the use of plant equipment types list in essential quals and managing safe working zones around moving plant equipment (PVPI).
