Responsibilities:
• To carry out the Daily Activity brief and set the team to work.
• To ensure the completion of daily checks sheets, report any defects to the manager and keep records for audit/data recording purposes.
• Deliver familiarisation/competency training and keep records for audit/data recording purposes.
• Ensure all PPE, equipment and consumables are stored, accounted for and records kept for audit/data recording purposes.
• Ensure all equipment and consumables are stored correctly and at the correct temperature and humidity.
• Ensure all equipment that requires certification is kept in date and reinspected as appropriate.
• To ensure all storage containers are secured when not manned.
• Set up/maintain exclusion zones when required.
• To ensure all stores containers are kept organised, clean, tidy and free from obstruction.
• Ensure all material that requires quarantine is secured promptly.
• To ensure all compounds are set up correctly, have the relevant equipment, documentation and safe walkways.
• To ensure all material deliveries are receipted correctly, ensuring receipt paperwork is completed, filed and relevant departments are updated.
• To inform all operatives of any changes related to site duties or site requirements – sign off POWRA where required.
• Give TBT’s to operatives on a weekly basis and keep records.
• Any additional reasonable duties requested by the line manager.
• Ensure your team do not get tasked by others without authority.
• Ensure that HPC code of conduct is followed at all times.
Other duties and responsibilities
• Work in accordance with:
o Wilson James policies, site procedures and training provided.
o Wilson James core values.
o Customer policies - HPC/NNB procedures.
• Carry out any other reasonable request as required by your Line Manager.
Health and Safety responsibilities
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with site/department procedures and training provided.
• Comply with the WJ Health and Safety Policy, procedures and protocols at all times.
• Ensure you and your team have received the required training or familiarisation on equipment prior to commencing works.
• Ensure that you are working in accordance with the safe system of work (RAMS), as briefed by your Line Manager.
• Ensure that you are fit for work prior to reporting for duty each day.
• Report any health and safety concerns to your line manager.
• Once Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has been issued ensure that you keep it serviceable at all times and report any defects to your line manager.
• Always ensure while at work you are wearing the correct PPE- at HPC this is 6 point PPE.
• If you are operating machinery/plant/vehicles you must operate safely in accordance with the instruction and training provided.
• Set a good example at all times.
Qualifications:
Essential
• Previous Supervisory Experience
• SSSTS (or working towards) - must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment
• CITB Supervisor H&S test (must be obtained before start date)
• Good IT skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
• HPC pass holder
• HPC Incident Controller
• HPC TMIC
• Manual handling training
Experience:
Essential
- Previous Supervisory experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of material storage processes.
Desirable
- Experience working in a centralised construction logistics team.
- Demonstrate a knowledge and experience of stores accounting.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the management of Calibration, P.A.T and thorough examination processes.
Site Specific Information:
- You must be able to provide a 3-year work history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
- The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
- Monday to Friday shift pattern
