We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Logistics Chargehand at Hinkley Point C.


As a Logistics Chargehand, you will play a key role by supervising the Plant & Fleet team. This includes completing all daily briefings before tasks commence, and ensuring all operatives understand their daily tasks and are aware of any new hazards within their work areas.


You will be reporting to the Logistics Manager for Plant & Fleet, and your main role includes setting the Plant Operators, Drivers and Traffic Marshals to work safely and ensuring they are working within WAF, RAMS, DABS and HPC processes.


You will be responsible for supervising at loading/unloading areas, ensuring they are safe and free from obstruction, ensuring plant and vehicles are fit for purpose, maintained in clean and serviceable condition, and ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transporting, and that receipting paperwork is in place.


Qualifications:

- CITB supervisor test (must be completed before start date)
- SSSTS (to be completed within your first 3 months)
- B category driving licence


Experience:

Essential:

- Previous supervisory experience
- Construction experience
- Good IT skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders


Desirable: 

- Knowledge of HPC site


Site Specific Information: 

- You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass
- The site is located remotely, and a bus journey of approx. 45 minutes each way is required to gain access
