The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Delivery Systems Coordinator to support KAEFER's operations at the Hinkley Point C (HPC) site. This office based role plays a critical part in ensuring procurement and delivery activities are seamlessly aligned by coordinating the scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of all incoming and outgoing goods in line with site procedures and project-specific logistics and procurement protocols.

The role involves close collaboration with Commercial & Supply Chain teams, logistics personnel, suppliers, and site stakeholders to ensure efficient use of the HPC Delivery Management System (DMS). Experience with the HPC DMS platform and a strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes are highly desirable.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate and manage delivery schedules through the HPC Delivery Management System (DMS).

· Monitor and report on delivery performance, inventory movement, and dispatch requirements using internal systems (e.g., QuickBase).

· Collaborate with the site logistics team to align deliveries with construction priorities and ensure minimal disruption to site operations.

· Act as a key point of contact between KAEFER, the client, and third-party logistics providers on all delivery coordination matters.

· Assist in planning and optimising delivery windows to comply with site constraints and logistics regulations.

· Ensure stock capacity is monitored and recorded accurately, escalating shortfalls to the Stores Manager as required.

· Provide clear and accurate documentation, including delivery reports and audit trails.

· Highlight opportunities for improved efficiency and waste reduction in delivery and logistics workflows.

· Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring operational integrity and legal adherence.

· Support the Stores & Logistics Department by producing logistics performance reports and coordinating delivery-related administration.

· Carry out regular inventory checks and system updates on plant, equipment, and consumables to ensure alignment with operational needs.

· Coordinate procurement activities in line with Company Policy & Procedure.

· Create and process purchase orders in the procurement system (QuickBase).

· Track and expedite orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any supply issues.

· Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor information.

· Work with internal departments to understand procurement needs and timelines.

· Assist in preparing procurement reports, cost analyses, and budget forecasts.

· Support vendor evaluations and performance assessments.

· Coordinate with onsite commercial teams to ensure timely payment of invoices.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Minimum 2 years' experience working in a logistics, supply chain/procurement, or delivery coordination environment.

· Strong IT literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and internal logistics platforms (e.g., QuickBase or similar).

· Excellent communication skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

· Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including logistics, operations, and suppliers.

· Client-focused with a high level of professionalism and discretion.

 

Experience 
Essential

· Computer literate with experience using delivery or logistics management systems and procurement systems.

· HSE Operatives Test or CCNSG Safety Passport (can be obtained through HPC clearance process).


Desirable

· Experience using the HPC Delivery Management System (DMS) or similar project logistics platforms.

· Experience with inventory and asset management systems.

· Understanding of quality management principles in logistics coordination.

· Familiarity with construction or large-scale infrastructure projects.
