Purpose of the role:


A highly skilled Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) Document Controller is sought to join the Digital Quality Team at BYLOR undertaking the Main Civil Works at Hinkley Point C.


Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:


As an LTQR Controller, you will be working for BYLOR’s established Records Team, responsible for the management and control of all BYLOR records and associated 'End' Reports. The principal remit of this role is to compile and deliver BYLOR records for all work packages, including reinforced concrete, embedded items, Tier 2 activities and any post pour activities, to ensure timely handover of all required documentation following construction activities.


Responsibilities:


• Production of LTQRs: support the production of LTQRs in a timely manner in accordance with BYLORs LTQR procedure by:


o Identifying
o Snagging
o Compiling
o Submitting / Retrieving documents
o QA checking


• Quality assurance: Ensure all project LTQR deliverables meet the required quality standards and
specifications.
• Compliance: Ensure that BYLOR’s and Supply chains record-keeping practices adhere to
regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in records management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with BYLOR's Delivery teams, internal and external stakeholders to
ensure LTQR Management ‘Best Practices’ are followed.
• List of Deliverables Management: Ensuring accurate population and maintenance of metadata
in the respective List of Deliverables.
• Snag lists / Exception items: support with the management of Snag lists and Exception Items,
ensuring any outstanding issues or defects are captured for full transparency.
• Digital Systems Operation: Use designated digital platforms and Electronic Data Management
Systems (e.g., ASITE, Teamcenter) for submitting, retrieving, and sharing. Ensure adherence to
document management, version control, and workflow requirements.


• Day-to-day tasks typically involve:


o Snagging, compiling, QA checking, and submitting records
o Liaising with project delivery teams and stakeholders
o Operating digital systems for records management
o Managing lists of exception items and snags
o Supporting completion and handover of work packages


You will receive initial training and ongoing support from the LTQR Coordinators and the Records team.


Essential skills & knowledge:


You will:


• Be a self-starter who takes the initiative, is tenacious and be passionate about quality and
continuous improvement
• Show good attention to detail and appreciate the importance of being organised, accurate
record keeping and conforming with project procedures
• Take ownership of your work and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Have excellent communications skills and be able to manage stakeholder engagement
• Ensure appropriate processes are being followed
• Enjoy working in a team, and work well with others
• Be comfortable learning new software, and showing others how to use it
• Be comfortable with BYLOR digital forms platform – Field View
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Be proficient in EDMS (Electronic Document Management systems such as Asite and
Teamcenter)


DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


• Previous experience in information management / document control
• Previous experience on a construction project
• Existing knowledge of a digital records system or document control system
• Problem solving and logic-based troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers
