Internal Learning Lead

Job description

Ready to shape how one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects learns and improves every day? As Internal Learning Lead at EDF, you’ll turn insights into action – driving safety, compliance and innovation across Hinkley Point C. Here, Success is Personal, and your impact will be felt across the entire project.

The Opportunity

As Internal Learning Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving organisational learning and improvement across the HPC site – supporting our journey towards An Electric Britain. You’ll lead a team of Learning Coordinators, manage key reporting systems, and ensure lessons learned are embedded to improve safety and performance.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based on site at #Hinkley Point C four days a week. You’ll work closely with diverse stakeholders, influencing change and promoting a transparent reporting culture.

From leading workshops to developing KPIs and driving system enhancements, you’ll have opportunities to innovate and make a measurable impact. Your expertise will help shape processes that support compliance, safety and continuous improvement across the project.

Who You Are

We’re looking for an Internal Learning Lead who thrives on collaboration and driving change. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:

Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of organisational learning and continuous improvement processes
Expertise in KPI creation, metrics and data analysis within a regulated industry
Degree-level education or equivalent experience
Accreditation with a professional body (minimum TechIOSH)
Familiarity with health, safety and environmental practices in construction
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading and improving project interfaces with reporting and learning systems
Managing lessons learned activities and facilitating workshops
Driving enhancements to the Project Reporting Tool and related processes
Developing and delivering organisational learning training and briefings
Building strong stakeholder relationships to share learning effectively

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a competitive salary, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that’s unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.

Why Join Us?

For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have been quietly keeping Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home-grown energy.

Our teams up and down the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation – but they also have an eye on the future.

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Nuclear power is the most reliable, low-carbon energy source currently available to the UK. EDF is playing a key role in the development of nuclear sites, while Hinkley Point C will provide low-carbon electricity to meet 7% of the UK demand. The project is already making a positive impact on the local and national economy as well as boosting skills and education.

We’re not just building new nuclear power stations. We’re developing careers, upskilling generations and creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of skills areas.

It takes a special kind of person to work in the nuclear energy industry and although we have thousands of them there’s always a need for more.

Our industry has a mind-boggling range of opportunities and more jobs, and in more places, than you might think. But it’s also an industry which is changing.

We’re a responsible business and proud to be Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity. With size, age and experience, we believe we can do even more.
