Insualtion & Caulking

Accountabilities:    
•    Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership to a high level.
•    Providing Insulation & Caulking Discipline activity support to the relevant Construction Lead’s throughout the life cycle of their allocated area whilst fully demonstrating a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
•    Accountable for Integrated Insulation & Caulking discipline delivery performance for the relevant CWP’s.
•    Ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with CDM Regulations, Specifications and official Instructions.
•    Manage the Provision of input for progress reporting on all Insulation & Caulking Discipline activities within relevant Erection Areas.
•    Coordination and interface management of Insulation and Caulking as part of the  Multi-discipline construction delivery sequence.
•    Management of effective and efficient Insulation & Caulking Discipline activities. 

      Health & Safety Responsibilities
•    Empower and encourage that employees are responsible for and fully understand the health and safety risks involved in their work activities and their responsibility to apply the controls needed to manage those risks to acceptable levels. Similarly, where work activities can have an adverse impact upon the environment, and particularly where there are legal requirements, employees are responsible for understanding those impacts and the controls are applied.


Key Deliverables:    
•    Assess and Manage the optimum method of Insulation and/or Fire-proofing Caulking required for an application within a work Area
•    Ensure all activities are executed in line with relevant Standards, Specifications and official Instructions. 
•    Assure all Insulation and Caulking strategies have been developed fully Compliant for their relevant area and Installation process. 
•    Assist development of Planning data, Confirm Materials/plant are requested and made available to support the execution plan.
•    Ensure productivity reviews are being carried out and reports are available at required intervals.
•    Use core experience & engineering skills to assess practicalities and risks associated with Construction activities.
•    Monitor change management and ensure Commercial mechanism is followed to record and implement as per the contract procedure
•    Ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements with focus on Right first Time attitude. 
•    Action Instructions from Construction and Area Lead’s as necessary.
•    Identification of risks and opportunities – Highlight Shortfalls
•    Challenge strategies for the Best for Project Result and Action recommendations from Construction and Discipline Lead’s.
•    Support the generation of Cost Advise formats by providing discipline knowledge based information.


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(as per MEH matrix) 

•    City & Guilds Apprenticeship served or recognised NVQ 3 equivalent in Insulation and/or Fire-protection Systems
•    Minimum 10 years demonstratable experience in the Insulation /Fireproofing Industry
•    Minimum 8 years Management level with working knowledge of the following Insulation related Industry guidelines – CINI / BS 5970 
•    Relevant Professional Accreditation preferable (PMP, Construction, Engineering)
•    Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
•    IOSH or MAPs level Managing safely Experience demonstrated and achieved
•    Proven track record in large scale projects preferably partly in the nuclear or similar regulated sector.Experienced in delivering and operating at a management level.- 
•    Experience in safely delivering large scale projects.
•    Results orientation – Understanding the required results and focusing to achieve them. 
•    Teamwork – Comfortable Working closely with colleagues and Peers

•    A self-motivated ability, setting the right behaviours.
•    An ability to think laterally and flexibly to deliver solutions
