Industrial Relations Manager
Mactech
Hinkley Point C

 

 

Rates: £360 PAYE to £500 UMBRELLA per day

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee implementation of Transitional Arrangements and Minimum Standards
  • Manage "Silver Book" operationalization and governance
  • Coordinate with contractor IR Managers to mitigate industrial action
  • Facilitate effective implementation of IR agreements
  • Oversee employment governance framework within tripartite system
  • Foster working relationships between managers, supervisors and TU Reps
  • Design and implement IR training programs
  • Establish relationships with local, regional and national trade unions
  • Support Site Leadership in maintaining contractor and union relationships
  • Manage dispute resolution and collective grievances

 


Qualifications/Experience

 

  • Strong IR Construction experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of trade union constitutions and employment law
  • Excellent understanding of construction industry (Civil/Engineering)
  • Proven track record in negotiations and dispute resolution
  • Experience with transient workforce management
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
  • Demonstrated HR generalist experience
  • Extensive experience in pay and conditions negotiations
  • Ability to handle large-scale change programs

 


Desirable Qualifications

 

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Working Rule Agreements
  • Background in construction sector industrial relations
  • Track record of successful stakeholder management
  • Understanding of nuclear industry standards
