As the IT Service Manager, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring MEHA IT services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. 
You'll lead IT service delivery and system administration teams, driving safe and efficient operations. As the primary IT contact, you’ll collaborate closely with managers across MEH/HPC to meet business priorities, conduct regular service reviews, and implement improvement actions.

 


Accountabilities:

 

• Managing and maintaining the service support for the project requirements relating to partner specific services
• Management and intelligent oversight for all infrastructure and applications provided to MEHA ensuring regulatory compliance
• Work proactively with suppliers to address any service gaps, ensuring effective delivery
• Actively maintain Service Level Agreements to align with MEH/HPC business priorities
• Proactively identify opportunities for service improvements and collaborate with partners to implement them
• Understand IT cost drivers and recommend cost-effective service delivery
• Serve as the primary interface between MEH and partners for IT services issue escalation
• Maintain visibility of risks related to operational application services, identifying effective mitigation and appropriate escalation. 
• Define system performance measures and monitor, measure, and report on IT systems performance, including oversight of third-party support contracts. 
• Assess and manage planned changes to production services, minimising business operations impact. 
• Ensure the successful transition of IT Services from delivery to operations
• Ability to engage and influence peers in I.T. and Business. Manages 3rd party Supplier resources and engagements on the Project
• Ensures that there is efficient allocation of common resources and skills within the project portfolio
• Manages the communications with all stakeholders

 


Key Deliverables:

 

• MEHJV IT Service requirements collaborating with JV Service teams
• Manages licensing schedule, budget, costs and accruals process using assigned tools and processes.
• Plan and organise the activities and related meetings and touchpoints across the projects assigned to them
• Drive and ensure delivery of the planned activities whilst providing delivery assurance oversight
• Manage the Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies
• Manage and produce weekly project reporting and submit to a deadline
• Coordinate project dependency tasks
• Support the MEHIT & finance team with the finances
• Manage the delivery of key documentation and assurance processes to ensure quality is “Right First Time”

 


Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

 

• Degree in relevant discipline (or equivalent).
• Relevant professional Accreditation e.g. ITIL, Prince 2 Practitioner, APMP etc…
• Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).

 


Additional Qualifications/Experience:

 

• Strong background in System Administration support
• Proven track record of delivering service improvements and managing IT service delivery in a growing business unit, including financial management
• Highly service-oriented, with the ability to build strong, partner ship based relationships
• Demonstrable experience in managing and developing partnerships with external service providers
• Skilled in SLA development and management
• Experienced in developing services to meet evolving business needs
• Practical usage of AzureDevOps, JIRA or similar supporting agile ceremonies for planning, collaboration and delivery of work activities
• Ability to collaborate across all levels and into the business
• Provides direction and influence project team
• Ability to analyse information and make sound decisions on the findings
• Commercial awareness
