Hard Services Supervisor

Full Time, 40 hours per week, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6am - 6pm)
The Hard Services Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Hard FM Manager in leading and overseeing a multi-skilled team responsible for all trades in hard FM, including electrical, mechanical, and handyman services across a range of sites within the Hinkley Point C contract. They will ensure that the team of engineers and maintenance technicians complete all PPM and reactive maintenance activities in a timely manner and in line with contract SLAs and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Key Competencies
● Lead a multi-skilled team of engineers, handymen, and tradespeople; set to works, issue permits to work, and
supervise reactive, PPM, and minor project tasks.
● Act as the technical supervisor for the shift, providing an electrical or mechanical bias to support complex fault
diagnosis and repair across all Hard FM services.
● Quality check and sign off on minor installations and EICRs.
● Maintain and update the PAT register and statutory compliance records.
● Assist in formulating quotes to upgrade existing systems and for new minor works projects.
● Carry out Health & Safety checks on the team and working environment.
● Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and manage permit to work systems for servicing.
● Operate planned maintenance procedures and deal effectively with breakdowns/damage to assets across heating,
water, ventilation, electrical, mechanical, and security systems.
● Write up reports and technical procedures for all Building Maintenance Activities.
● Assist in the training and development of maintenance/technical staff to encourage cross-skilling.
● Follow detailed drawings and O&M manuals to ensure all maintenance, inspections, and repairs are performed
safely and to standard.
● Participate in emergency call-out arrangements and cover fixed-site projects or absences for site
managers/engineers.
Requirements:
Essential (2 or more of the following):
Level 3 electrotechnical qualification and NVQ level 3
LeveL 2 plumbing and heating qualification and NVQ level 2
Level 2 qualification in Air conditioning and refrigeration
