Job Title: Hard FM Manager


Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm


Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater


Salary: £60,000PA

 

G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Hard FM Manager on a full-time, permanent basis based at our site in Bridgwater.

 

The main aim of the role is to assist the Head of Technical Services in the Hard FM service delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the Hard FM team, ensuring that the team have the correct resources, competencies and training to deliver the required PPM, reactive and scheduled tasks to the agreed SLA's.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all plant and equipment is properly maintained, serviced and available.
  • Ensure PPM, Reactive and Scheduled tasks are completed in line with contractual requirements.
  • Ensure operating, maintenance manuals and drawings are maintained and updated.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Hard FM team working collaboratively with the Service Leads.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.
  • Build a credible relationship with the client.
  • Has a strong working relationship with the Head of Technical Services and would be expected to deputise in the absence of, or as and when required/ directed by the Head of Technical Services.
  • Work collaboratively with all G4S FM functions on the contract to influence and deliver agreed contract goals and objectives.
  • To assist The Head of Technical Services in producing timely and accurate management reports to support the operational management, Business partners and Client reporting requirements.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels at all times on all sites, including cover for planned and unplanned absence.
  • To oversee the recruitment, training, development and monitoring of performance and absence of the Hard FM team, ensuring the appropriate HR action is taken where required.
  • To coach, develop and monitor the performance and absence of direct reports, taking the appropriate HR action where required.
  • Regular engagement with the operational team taking on board feedback from the team and actively responding to feedback.
  • To assist the Head of Technical Services in managing relationships with specialist third party contractors, monitoring performance to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • To assist the Compliance Manager in compiling contractual and company compliance documentation.
  • Carry out audits as directed and develop action/ accountability plans/s where non-conformance is identified in order to seek timely resolution.
  • To ensure correct HPC and G4S processes are operated with area of responsibility to ensure all legislative and G4S and HPC procedures are followed in order to maintain safe and secure working environment.


Essential Criteria:

 

  • Strong people management and HR experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Relevant H&S qualification (IOSH, NEEBOSH)


Desirable Criteria:

 

  • Higher Education Level qualification in a technical discipline
  • CDM qualified
  • FM/Building/Construction background
  • 18th Edition Electrical qualification or recognised qualification in electrical / mechanical engineering
  • C&G lvl 2 Plumbing & Heating
  • C&G lvl 3 Refrigeration Air
