We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded HSE Manager to drive the effective development, implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental practices across relevant projects. Acting as a key advisor to the senior leadership team and project teams, you will provide expert guidance, governance and oversight on all HSE matters including specific project support. This primarily office-based role is responsible for leading HSE performance across the group, managing compliance and embedding a proactive forward thinking safety culture.

 

What You’ll do

  • Lead and manage the Health, Safety and Environmental function across relevant projects
  • Provide strategic HSE guidance, governance and expert support to the senior leadership team and project teams
  • Ensure full compliance with all HSE legislation, standards and internal management systems
  • Develop, implement and continually improve Ospreys HSE management systems
  • Communicate HSE plans, changes and requirements clearly across the organisation
  • Work closely with project teams to solve HSE challenges and embed the highest safe working practices
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the organisation's long-term health and safety strategy

 

Skills & Experience

  • A recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH general certificate)
  • Proven experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental management role within a complex operational or project-based environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain HSE management systems
  • Experience providing strategic HSE guidance and governance to Senior Leadership Teams
  • Track record of improving HSE performance through innovation, continuous improvement and proactive risk management
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations, with the ability to produce accurate reports and improvement plans
