About the role

We bring together the very best multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery team to accelerate projects, enhance safety, and work side by side with clients to solve the most complex construction challenges.
We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded HSE Manager to drive the effective development, implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental practices across relevant projects. Acting as a key advisor to the senior leadership team and project teams, you will provide expert guidance, governance and oversight on all HSE matters including specific project support. This primarily office-based role is responsible for leading HSE performance across the group, managing compliance and embedding a proactive forward thinking safety culture.
What You’ll do
- Lead and manage the Health, Safety and Environmental function across relevant projects
- Provide strategic HSE guidance, governance and expert support to the senior leadership team and project teams
- Ensure full compliance with all HSE legislation, standards and internal management systems
- Develop, implement and continually improve Ospreys HSE management systems
- Communicate HSE plans, changes and requirements clearly across the organisation
- Work closely with project teams to solve HSE challenges and embed the highest safe working practices
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the organisation's long-term health and safety strategy
Skills & Experience
- A recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH general certificate)
- Proven experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental management role within a complex operational or project-based environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain HSE management systems
- Experience providing strategic HSE guidance and governance to Senior Leadership Teams
- Track record of improving HSE performance through innovation, continuous improvement and proactive risk management
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations, with the ability to produce accurate reports and improvement plans
