Key objectives
• Support the provision of balanced and pragmatic HR advice across all Altrad businesses operating within the Nuclear New Build Business Unit in accordance with company and project policy, legislation and best practice.
• Assist with the deployment of new HR initiatives, process and policy as determined by the company or client; engaging managers and supervision to ensure integration and ongoing compliance.
• Maintain relevant project records and ensure that both internal and external requests for employee data are resolved in a timely, accurate and GDPR compliant manner, utilising company stakeholders where necessary.
Main activities
• Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR enquiries from managers, staff and supervisors.
• Contribute to the development of working practices in line with company and project requirements.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure changes to workforce data are updated in company systems.
• Coach and develop managers and supervisors in HR responsibilities and company processes.
• Provide end to end case management support in all HR related matters including:
o Absence management
o Disciplinary & Grievance
o Performance management
o Redundancy
o Personal Development Reviews
• Direct complex enquiries and situations to the Business Unit HR Lead.
• Undertake HR project work and research as requested.
Minimum requirements
• Previous HR Advisor experience.
• Holder of, or willing to work towards appropriate CIPD status.
• Willing to travel on a regular basis.
Personal attributes
In addition to a high attention to detail and strong Microsoft Office and admin skills, the role requires an ability to:
o Interact with and support a diverse workforce and wide range of client, project and company stakeholders.
o Manage own workload and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines and SLA’s.
o Demonstrate appropriate judgement in the escalation of risk.
o Maintain discretion and confidentiality.
