Opportunity for a H&S Advisor (Nights) working with Wilson James on the Hinkley Point C project,


As our Health and Safety Advisor, you will be dedicated to supporting the Wilson James Construction Logistics Team at HPC. You will be monitoring the working practices of employees and contractors regarding health, safety, well-being, and welfare. You will carry out Health and Safety inspections across the site. You will be responsible for supporting the development of strategies and systems and providing advice and support to ensure Wilson James Logistics teams are working safely in line with HPC Construction Phase Plans, processes, and procedures, including current legislation and industry best practices.


Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • CITB Maps test - must be obtained before the start date.
  • Level 3 NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate or other Level 3 equivalent accredited -- Certificate in Health & Safety
  • IOSH Qualification - Ideally member or equivalent.
  • CSCS Card (professional card - white).
  • Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, specific to the construction industry.
  • Experience in compiling and reviewing RAMS specific to task
  • Strong construction or engineering background.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplined safety-critical environment. 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate at all levels. 
  • IT literate - familiar with Microsoft packages.
