Opportunity for a Governance and Learning Manager working with Dalkia on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.
All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. A committed strong work ethic is essential at all levels.
All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.


As Governance and Learning Manager you will ensure that the Dalkia New Nuclear IMS strategy is understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.  You will support the Quality Lead for activities such as developing procedures, ensuring training and Nuclear Safety Culture activities are delivered along with leading lessons learned / best practices in the quality system, training on quality, audits and quality improvements.


Key Deliverables:

 

  • Provide day to day leadership to the Governance and Learning team
  • Work with functions within the Dalkia New Nuclear to develop process & close gaps in IMS 
  • Introduce and maintain IMS Governance Procedure for Dalkia New Nuclear
  • Plan New Nuclear internal audit schedule and ensure timely action closure.
  • KPI reporting.
  • Develop template for Quality Management Review and prepare reviews.
  • Co-ordinate IMS quarterly feedback sessions with Senior Leadership Team.
  • Improvement co-ordination and Lessons Learned implementation feedback into IMS.
  • Act as Nuclear Safety Culture (NSC) Representative for Dalkia New Nuclear
  • Provide induction for Quality and NSC to new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:

 

  • Qualifications in relevant discipline, MSc, BSc (or equivalent experience for role). 
  • Knowledge of working to UK and international standards and codes of practice for the UK Nuclear sector.
  • Relevant professional Accreditation (CQI, IRCA or equivalent).
  • Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
  • Lead Auditor or Assessor Qualification (ISO9001:2015 standard)
  • Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
  • Experienced in implementation and maintenance of Integrated Management Systems
  • Team leadership. 
  • Training provision in Quality Systems usage and Nuclear Safety Culture.
