This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.

 

 

As a Fire Risk Assessor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure Emergency Preparedness, and Fire Health and Safety Standards of the HPC project are consistently met and become an integral part of the specialist fire safety team.  

 

 

Day to day, you’ll undertake Fire Safety assessments, inspections and other monitoring activities of both controlled areas and all site contractors to ensure compliance with site Fire Safety Standards and UK legislation.

 

  • Report writing and Building relationships with the client.

  • Provide Fire Risk Assessments to PAS79 guidelines.

  • Responding to ad-hoc fire related queries

  • Undertaking other fire safety related works such as liaising with the Internal Regulator and the Office for Nuclear Regulations

  • Undertaking other administration duties as dictated by the needs of the  organisation

  • Achieving key performance indicators (mainly Health and Safety KPI's

 

 

This role is full time 38 hours a week and will be based on site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater.

 

 

Essential experience of the Fire Risk Assessor:

 

  • Producing Fire Risk Assessments in the construction or other dynamic environment.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain EP/Fire procedures and expectations to a range of people

 

 

Qualifications for the Fire Risk Assessor:

 

  • NEBOSH Fire and Construction Certificates would be desirable

 

 

Security Clearance
