Rates: £47.50-£65.62

Job Responsibilities

 

As a Field Engineer focused on welding and NDT activities, you will oversee critical quality assurance tasks on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, ensuring construction activities align with contractual and safety requirements. ? ? Identify and mitigate potential quality issues, supporting on-time project delivery.

 

•    Submit and document non-conformance reports as needed.
•    Review and monitor Quality Control Plans and Inspection Records.
•    Evaluate contractor performance and adherence to standards.
•    Contribute to health, safety, and environmental objectives across site operations.
•    Ensure documentation and reporting align with regulatory and quality requirements.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent as a minimum).
  • Current or previous qualifications in multiple NDT methods.


Experience

 

  • Experience in construction involving fabrication and installation of pressure systems and structural steel.
  • Fully conversant with British/European standards and design codes including RCC-M and BS EN.
  • Proven QA/QC experience and ability to document findings concisely and accurately.
  • Strong organisational, delegation, and communication skills.
