We have a fantastic opportunity for a Erecting Supervisor to work on the Hinkley Point C project.


Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. They continue to set the bar high in their highly regulated market!


Vacancy Details


In the Erecting Supervisor position your responsibilities will be to:


Provide technical advice and propose technical solutions where required
Review and approve technical & safety documentation
Be involved in technical and planning discussions with client
Ensure installation of works is as per design and process
Deliver works on time and within parameters of the budget set for the task.
Supervise contracted staff
Prepare site reports and fill in needed documentation
Manage and ensure compliance of the NNB permit to work processes
Attend coordination meetings
Act as and Incident Controller (IC)
Act as Trauma and Medical Immediate Care (TMIC)


Skills & experience


Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chargehand in a relevant industry
HPC experience (desirable)
Candidate must be a strong team leader who pays attention to safety and quality as a priority, always leading by example. Must be able to set people to work and ensure works are delivered as per design, on time and on budget. Team working and relationship-building skills
ECITB Diploma in
Erecting Engineering Construction Capital Plant Steel Structures
Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment
ECITB Skills Test Alternative / Skills Test Number: TER03 or TER04
ACE Card, LATS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, TMIC trained (First Aid at Work trained), IC trained, Permit Acceptor
