As an Environmental and Sustainability Manager, you will be dedicated to supporting our Logistics Team and HSE department. You will manage and monitor employees' and contractors' working practices related to sustainability and environmental culture. You will be responsible for supporting the development of strategies and systems and providing advice and support to ensure Wilson James Logistics teams are working in line with the Site Construction Phase Plans, processes and procedures, including current legislation and industry best practice. You will guide and assist logistics teams in their working practices to meet ISO 14001:2015 requirements, and you will drive the environmental agenda for all colleagues. The post holder will be fully integrated with Wilson James' Sustainability leadership team, working collaboratively with senior leadership. You will have previous experience working within environmental and/or sustainability, have a good knowledge of technical and policy approaches to environmental management and sustainability, as well as experience leading projects.


Requirements:


Degree in Environmental or related discipline.
Strong working knowledge of Environmental regulations, specific to the construction industry logistics activities.
Good understanding of UK legislation and practical control of water pollution, waste management, ecology, soils and air quality.
IEMA or similar membership
CITB H&S test pass certificate for Managers & Professionals
Experience in compiling and reviewing RAMS specific to task
Strong construction or engineering background.
Experience working in a multi-disciplined safety critical environment. 
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate at all levels. 
IT literate - Strong electronic communication, spreadsheet, and presentation skills. 
An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors' and employee's.
You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.

8.5% bonus.
