Document Controller

 

 

Salary: £32,000.00-£37,500PA

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Acquire and maintain proficiency in the use of Electronic Document Management Systems, primarily COEDM (Documentum).
  • Apply and continuously improve Framatome's documentation processes, ensuring compliance with HPC project standards and NNB requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate document control activities including creation, metadata validation, revision, release, and transmittal of documentation, in line with internal and external procedures.
  • Act as a key point of contact on Site for all documentation-related matters, supporting the coordination between engineering, construction, and quality teams.
  • Ensure compliance with COEDM rules, particularly for Safety Related documents, including validation of metadata (e.g., Safety Class, ECS codes, Functional Tags, and WBS alignment).
  • Manage supplier documentation workflows, including uploads, metadata checks, internal review coordination, and external release to NNB.
  • Coordinate the Priority Review Pathway (PRP) process on Site, including proposing documents for PRP, organising and leading tabletop review meetings with NNB and internal stakeholders, maintaining the PRP Sheet, and ensuring swift resolution of comments to enable timely acceptance and release of installation documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor the EISR (End of Installation Status Report), FUD (Follow-Up Document) and CRF (Change Request Form) workflows for various scopes, in collaboration with Site stakeholders and installation managers.
  • Prepare and monitor document forecasts and delivery schedules, proactively following up on delays or blocking points.
  • Ensure high standards in document formatting and metadata quality, making corrections in EDMS and COEDM where necessary.
  • Track and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for document control performance and reporting.
  • Participate in weekly coordination and Site meetings, presenting relevant updates and raising documentation risks or bottlenecks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in documentation processes and contribute to the refinement of workflows and templates.
  • Provide training and support to Site users, contractors, and suppliers on documentation procedures, tools (Documentum, COEDM), and good practices.
  • Collaborate closely with NNB, Framatome IB teams, document controllers, and PCM stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance across document deliverables.
  • Support file transfer coordination, including Oodrive and MFT usage for oversized file exchanges with suppliers or customers.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Relevant experience

Experience 

 

  • Qualification or proven experience in documentation management, ideally in an industrial, engineering, or construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of document control principles and standards, especially in the context of regulated or safety-related documentation.
  • Proficiency with Documentum, COEDM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good knowledge of Framatome documentation processes, or demonstrable ability to learn and apply complex procedures quickly.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders on Site.
  • Experience with large-scale international projects or nuclear sector documentation is an asset.
