Design Engineer - Pools, Liners, Tanks & Sumps

For our Joint Design office, we are looking to recruit for the role of NI PTLS Engineer.
The position of "Pools Tanks Liners and Sumps (PTLS) engineer" aims at support the field design activities for the discipline on the Nuclear Island (NI) and mainly manage design modification or clarification raised before and during on-site construction. The increase of capacity is here to acknowledge the expected rise of requests number due to increase in PTLS structures delivery and construction along with the progress in construction and assembly.
As a JDO NI PTLS Engineer, you will:
Answer the requests on their scope.
Lead and monitor the production of the impacted deliverables on his/her scope.
Interact with his/her back-office regarding design interfaces.
Interact within the JDO with the client (project and intelligent customer) to support the overall project.
Interact within the JDO with the other discipline to support the overall project.
Support the JDO Steelwork team lead regarding the overall needs of the team (production, technical, quality)
Qualifications:
Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience:
- Experienced Engineer with experience in design of structures in the nuclear industry or with experience on subjects at the interface between design and construction.
- Experience in calculation notes preparation and mechanical behaviour.
- Knowledge of the Eurocode 2 and understanding of safety requirements are recommended in order to answer to the requests.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D design software.
- Knowledge of FEA design software.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills.
- Knowledge of the HPC project or previous EPR and associated studies/doctrine is a real asset.
- Previous experience in Edvance and/or with EDF-Framatome processes, with a particular emphasis on Engineering Sequence and Quality procedures (P3)
- For 2D and 3D design software: Navisworks, PDMS, TEKLA, AUTOCAD (or knowledge in similar 3D, 2D software application).
- For FEA design softwares: RSTAB knowledge (or similar 3D SW calculation software)
Skills required:
- Experience in the management of transverse technical topics
- Experience in civil or MEH construction is a bonus.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, conscientiousness, organisation, writing ability.
- Good organizational, writing and oral expression skills in English are essential for the realization of the activities of document production, steering and interfaces with the various correspondents.
- Ability to prioritise, to manage numerous interfaces, to question and understand the imperatives of other downstream/ interfacing disciplines. Ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
- Languages (level)
- English fluent (C1 expected, B2 mandatory)
- French and/or German - bonus
