Deputy Lead - Final Mile Logistics

What You'll Be Doing:

 

  • Lead and support the Final Mile Logistics Team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Performance Indicators (HSEPIs)
  • Oversee logistics capacity planning, ensuring seamless receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and supply chain teams, to align logistics with project timelines
  • Develop and rehearse contingency plans to mitigate potential logistics challenges
  • Utilise data analytics and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, DOMO, Fulcrum) to enhance logistics decision-making and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all site procedures, safety regulations, and Wilson James policies
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics, supporting strategic decision-making

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history required for the vetting process in line with HPC protocols
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass
  • CITB HSE Managers & Professionals

 


Experience:

 

  • Extensive experience in logistics planning and operations within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing large, multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, complex, and often unionised environment.
  • Strong data analytics skills, with the ability to interpret and present

  • Salary starting from £74,000 (depending on experience)
