Experienced Data and BI Lead to shape, deliver and continuously improve data and business intelligence (BI) solutions that enable data driven decision-making and measurable business value. 


Lead and develop a team of Data and BI specialists, working in close partnership with business stakeholders, solution and business architects and analysts to ensure: 

  • High-quality, scalable and operations ready Data & BI solutions are delivered. 
  • Adoption and measurable business impact are achieved across all business areas. 
  • Agile and continuous improvement practices are embedded to drive efficiency and innovation. 
  • This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role - ideal for someone who wants to lead at the intersection of technology, data and business strategy.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and delivery challenges. 


Solution Quality & Adoption 

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and ready for operations environments with clear documentation and version control. 
  • Drive user adoption and engagement, resolving issues promptly and capturing measurable benefits (e.g. increased usage, improved data quality). 
  • Embed best practices for Data Governance and Data Management capabilities, e.g. Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality. 


Team Development & Leadership 

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Data and BI specialists, aligning their growth to evolving technology and business needs 
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement in Agile delivery practices, including CI/CD and automation


Qualifications: 

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computing or related field.

 

Proven experience in: 

  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex Data & BI solutions in a leadership capacity. 
  • Agile delivery (Azure DevOps or JIRA), including CI/CD. 
  • In depth knowledge of current and emerging Data and BI solutions for Data Warehouse and Lake House solutions in the Microsoft technology stack and other technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, etc. 
  • Good knowledge of Data Governance principles and frameworks and Data Management capabilities.
    Degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computing or related field. 

 

Proven experience in:

  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex Data & BI solutions in a leadership capacity. 
  • Agile delivery (Azure DevOps or JIRA), including CI/CD.

  • Strong experience in architecting and maintaining scalable, reusable reporting architectures to drive consistency and improve efficiency across the business. 
  • Strong experience in business analysis and requirements gathering for data solutions 
  • Line management and coaching experience, with evidence of building high-performing teams
