Opportunity for a DMS Coordinator working with BYLOR on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Key Responsibilities:


Knowledge and understanding of;

 

  • HPC-HK2201-U0-000-SCH-100023 – BYLOR Schedule of Common Logistics.
  • HPC-NNBGEN-XX-000-STA-100001 - Common Standard 02 Traffic Management & Coordination.
  • NNB-205-PRO-000129 – Safety Procedure, Logistics and Transport.
  • NNB-205-GUI-000119 – transport and Logistics Management Plan.
  • NNB-205-GUI-000105 – Transport and Logistics – Additional Guidance.
  • RAMS, TRAMS, POWRA, particular to common tasks and activities conducted by the team.
  • To deliver excellent customer service, helping to maintain a working relationship with both clients and hauliers, ensuring a positive 
  • feedback for the Company name and the department.
  • Ensure that clients and hauliers are aware of any information changes which would affect the delivery.
  • Accurately input bookings onto the system, de-conflicting as required.
  • Confirm the bookings with the client, with accurate driver route guidance driver route guidance and site rules.
  • Generate all internal reports as required.
  • To assist with escorting deliveries as required.
  • Ensure that full PPE is worn by the drivers and that the vehicle is accurately marked with signage.
  • Check that the driver is aware of all site rules and has been security checked, with the correct ID.
  • Ensure that the delivery point is known, with any issues for access and egress.
  • Do not allow the driver out of view.
  • Sign the paperwork, obtain a copy and pass onto relevant person / department.
  • Conduct escort duties, both onsite as well as off. Ensuring that all road regulations and speed limits are strictly adhered to.
  • Act as a traffic marshall as and when required.
  • Reporting any issues as and when they arise through the line manager.
  • Complying with site health and safety rules. 


Key Skills

 

  • Experience in customer services, solving issues that may arise, with a mutually acceptable outcome.
  • Have an excellent telephone manner, regardless of customer interaction.
  • Experienced and competent in computer programmes relevant to role, with an ability to progress onto new computer platforms.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in role.
  • Experience in management and daily routines surrounding all forms of the prescribed routine, support and coordination.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to seniors and subordinates a-like.
  • Competent at performing routine checks and controls in order to produce monthly KPI’s to measure departmental performance. 
  • Able to work as individual or as part of a team.
  • Self-starter with a ‘can do’ approach to tasks.
  • Safety first ethos.
  • Full UK driving licence.


Qualifications

 

  • Valid CSCS card
  • Traffic Marshaller

  • Trauma & Immediate Care (TMIC)
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes and applications.
  • Any additional tasks that maybe required from line manager (s), as part of the normal teams duties.
