Opportunity for a Crane Operator working with BYLOR in the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Duties : 

 

  • Attend team briefings, signing to show understanding, notify supervisor if not in full understanding
  • Not to operate a crane without having been familiarised
  • Listen to and follow any directions given by the crane team
  • Stop crane movement and clarify with crane team if an instruction is unclear or not heard
  • Perform and record daily crane checks
  • Leave crane cab clean and tidy
  • Secure crane after use
  • Be briefed on and adhere to crane operators golden rules
  • Stop operations if they consider them unsafe and report any problems to supervisor
  • To follow the BYLOR crane operator 'Golden Rules'


Competencies : 

 

  • Competent and hold a valid CPCS card for operating the plant
  • Adequately trained, competent and familiarised with the plant in use
  • Completed and passed a safety critical medical
  • Knowledge and site standards and legislation
  • Knowledge of lifting operations relevant to areas of work
  • Capable of ensuring the safe movement of the crane and following clear, precise instructions from the crane team
  • Aware of their responsibilities and their limits
