We have two vacancies for experienced Cost Engineers to join us on the MEH Alliance working on the Hinkley Point C construction project. The role could be based on the Bridgwater site, but there is flexibility around hybrid or remote working.

 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Produce and maintain accurate cost and cash forecasts in alignment with the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS);
  • Accurately maintain all cost data for Works Task Orders within the MEH Installation contract
  • Co-ordinate and produce cost reports to a defined reporting cycle;
  • Assist in the accurate assessment of EAC;
  • Assist in the Trend & Change process, including production of Project Change Reports, analysis of cost impact and provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities;
  • Assist with analysis of earned value;
  • Adhere to Project governance and Cost standards and procedures;
  • Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experiences: 

  • Recognised Cost Engineer or Accountancy qualification.
  • Proven relevant experience in a Project Controls, Cost Engineering, Project Finance or similar environment within an Engineering, Construction or Manufacturing environment. 
  • Understanding of cost engineering methodologies and techniques. 
  • The ability to reconcile cost information. 
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher). 
  • Demonstrable experience of learning and utilising various software applications. 
  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
