Contract Type: Permanent  

 

Salary: Starting from £36,000  

 

Working Hours: 

39 hours on average per week. 

9 days across 2 weeks (Monday to Friday on week 1 & Monday to Thursday on week 2). 

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Control Tower Team Leader at Hinkley Point C. 

 


As a Control Tower Team Leader, you will play a critical role in overseeing real-time logistics operations and ensuring the efficient coordination of materials and resources around Hinkley Point C.  The Control Tower Team Leader acts as a key connection between internal teams, external vendors, and Third Party Logistics providers, ensuring full visibility and control over all logistics operations. You will focus on using data-driven insights and advanced monitoring systems to optimise distribution activities, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with project timelines and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee real-time monitoring of onsite distribution operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, regulatory requirements and data handling protocols 
  • Align Control Tower operations with overall project objectives and on-site distribution strategies
  • Utilise advanced data analytics and real-time monitoring tools to refine route operations, minimise delays and improve decision-making 
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics related to Control Tower operations
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration among on-site Third Party Logistics operatives and delivery partners 

 

 

What do we need from you: 

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

 

Essential  

  • CITB Operative H&S test (to be completed before start date) 
  • Strong understanding of transport operations and distribution route planning
  • High standard of interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders 
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, numerical, and problem-solving skills 

 

Desirable 

  • Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement and techniques in the UK construction sector 
  • Experience of using Fulcrum (Delivery & Inventory Management Systems). 
  • Power BI/DOMO (Business Intelligence Analytics) 

 

 

Site Specific Information: 

 

  • You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history required for the vetting process in line with HPC protocols. 
  • You must be able to obtain the HPC pass. 
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
