Construction Delivery Lead

Rates of pay: £425 PAYE to £580 UMBRELLA per day

 

Contract: Temporary at 40 hours per week

 


Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and develop Construction Delivery Managers, providing support, guidance, and ensuring appropriate training
  • Oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment during construction activities
  • Undertake and record safety/assurance inspections supporting project KPIs
  • Organize and conduct Weekly Planning (PLOW) meetings with Contractor Partners
  • Support CDMs/Contract Partners in running Plan of the Day (PLOD) meetings
  • Attend coordination and MDT meetings for assigned work areas and contracts
  • Lead weekly construction meetings using Issues & Action Trackers
  • Oversee contractor management of construction logistics and contracts
  • Support Tier 1 contract partners in scope delivery through information and coordination
  • Review Construction Daily Site Logs produced by CDMs
  • Implement and maintain surveillance programs for all contracts in assigned work areas
  • Act as Lead Reviewer for documents submitted by contract partners
  • Support CDMs in reviewing and signing Work Authorization Forms (WAFs)
  • Lead CDMs in assisting Tier 1 partners with Hand Over Certificates and Temporary Access Certificates
  • Work 50% site-based and 50% office-based, with weekend/shift work as required

 


Required Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Management experience in strategic planning of site setup, construction sequencing, and resource allocation
  • Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters
  • Considerable experience in delivering large complex projects
  • Relevant degree (or equivalent) in Civil Construction
  • Working understanding of CDM Regulations
  • NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH qualification

  • Experience within the Nuclear environment (can be offset by demonstrable experience in Civil Engineering/Construction)
  • Knowledge of French
