Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.

It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.

Accountabilities:    


As a Configuration and Completions Manager for the Dalkia New Nuclear team, you will be responsible for maintaining the "Golden Thread" of information to ensure that project requirements, technical data, and the physical assets remain fully aligned throughout the nuclear lifecycle. 


Key Deliverables:    


•    To successfully execute an Overarching Configuration Management Plan (CMP) while tailoring it to specific programme needs, you need to strike a balance between rigid control and operational agility. 
•    Establishing a robust Configuration Management (CM) framework is about ensuring that the physical and functional characteristics of a product or system are accurately documented and consistently maintained throughout its lifecycle
•    To establish a proportionate and consistent approach to configuration management within a programme, follow these defined criteria and oversight steps.
•    Define Configuration items, oversee identification and recording of configuration items and product configuration within a programme to ensure a consistent approach
•    Engage proactively with programme stakeholders to ensure CM requirements, responsibilities, and dependencies are clearly understood and applied.
•    Participate in Engineering Data Management and Information Management activities to define CM requirements for data and information management systems.
•    Mentor and provide professional guidance to Configuration and Completions Engineer(s), supporting capability development and consistency of CM practice across the programme.
•    Manage Handover Certificates from initiation to Completion, ensuring Exception Items are tracked and closed out.
•    Oversee handover process for systems, ensuring ITP, LTQR & EESRs, and all other records complete for Handover to Quality Team
•    Maintain and manage detailed records of room readiness, inspection outcomes, and quality documentation.
•    Facilitate regular walkthroughs and snagging inspections with stakeholders.
•    Coordinate field walk through and verify systems completeness


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 


    •    HND or relevant experience, in depth knowledge of ISO 10007:2017, SAE EIA 649 and supporting guidance
•    Use of product lifecycle management tools
•    Demonstrable experience of performance management of completions and configuration on large complex, regulated projects 
•    BPSS security clearance 


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    


•    Prior experience of working on Nuclear New Build Projects
•    Demonstrable capability of coordinating technical topics, configuration and completions management procedures
•    Understanding of HSSE procedures, engineering standards and client requirements for deliverables
