Hinkley Point C & Satellite Delivery Centre, Bridgwater, Hybrid, minimum of 3 days a week in office, with very occasional travel to other offices.

As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial aspects of assigned contracts. You will support the procurement process during contract creation (pre-award) to ensure successful contract award and will take responsibility for the commercial management of the contract through to completion during the execution phase.


Your focus will be on maximising operational and financial performance, minimising commercial risks, and contributing to the safe and cost-effective delivery of the NNB HPC Project and its business objectives.

What you’ll be doing…

 

As the Commercial Manager, you will play a vital role within the NNB Commercial Group, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for the effective commercial administration of one or more contracts. Acting as the primary commercial point of contact, you will work closely with stakeholders across Nuclear New Build to ensure contract requirements and their impact on the HPC Project are successfully delivered.

This includes supporting the procurement process during the contract creation phase and contributing to the successful award of contracts.
 

Key responsibilities include assessing contract scope, value, and duration against the Contract Authorised Sum (CAS), reviewing technical and commercial requirements, and participating in ITT preparation, evaluation, and negotiation. During the execution phase, you will ensure all commercial activities are conducted in line with NNB Commercial Procedures, driving effective contract management and contributing to the safe and cost-effective delivery of project objectives.


Who you are…

 

We are seeking a Commercial Manager with strong commercial and contract management expertise and a proven ability to administer successful contracts. You will have a solid understanding of best-practice methodologies, excellent commercial judgment, and experience in contract performance measurement, risk management, and managing changes or claims.
 

Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills are essential to build professional relationships at all levels. Familiarity with commonly used forms of contracts in the power construction industry is highly advantageous.
