We have a vacancy for an experienced Cabling Supervisor or Cabling Engineer to join us in the position of Cable Router on the MEH Alliance, working on the Hinkley Point C construction project.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide engineering support for the cable installation activities. 
  • To provide safety advice and guidance relating to the onsite routing and installation of cables. 
  • To support the cable management and installation strategy that aligns with the site logistics strategy. 
  • To provide the cable requirements to support the installation sequence.  
  • To support the preparation of cable lists that will be used to provide CMPic with the correct sequencing for the cable installation. 
  • To support the preparation of area specific cable routing documentation to ensure the correct integration of the cable installation. 
  • To ensure that "best for project" interface routing decisions are implemented across the various areas and buildings. 
  • To Support the application of the cable tracking system and use during installation. 
  • To support the change management for pre and post cable installation.  
  • Interface directly with the CMPic team. 
  • Provide sequenced documentation relating to the installation of the cables.    
  • Risk management and mitigation strategies

 

Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • IOSH Managing Safely preferred.
  • Relevant engineering or technical qualification
  • Substantial experience in delivery of complex HV / LV cable installation on construction/building services projects.  
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety 
  • Experience of working on project in the Nuclear or other highly regulated environment is desirable.
