Dalkia is offering an opportunity for a data analyst to diversify their skillset and enter the construction industry. HPC requires a large amount of data analysis whether it be based around Excel datasets, Power BI or other means of Data collection and presentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manipulation and distribution of data to satisfy multiple stakeholders, whilst complying with the general principles of the data analytics lifecycle.


Hinkley Point C is the UK's first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.
All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. A committed strong work ethic is essential at all levels.


All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.


There are opportunities to put together strategic people plans within the nuclear sector, work on wider company people projects, deliver an excellent first-class service to employees and ensure the administration and processes that engulf working life are implemented effectively and fairly

 

Salary : £40-45k DoE


Key Deliverables:

    

  • Generate forecast and predictive models based around Date, Cost and Progress datasets
  • Support business functions with Ad Hoc BI requests
  • Review current business practices and develop new solutions where required
  • Clean and prepare data sets provided by other parties
  • Be custodian of several key datasets ensuring the validity and update of the information therein
  • Prepare Documentation and Presentations to summarise findings

Behaviour & Attitude

    

  • Ability to communicate in all forms of media but also verbally in meetings and general discussion.
  • Desire to find out information first hand rather than relying on second hand information
  • Inquisitive and interested nature when introduced to new challenges


Educational Qualification Required (preferred):    

    

  • Degree or equivalent education in Data Analysis or related field
  • Certification in Business Intelligence Software such as Power BI or Tableau


Previous Work Experience Required:

    

  • Exposure to Project Environments/Project Management Office
